Description

from Wicked
Winner of over 50 major awards including the Grammy Award and three Tony Awards®, WICKED is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey, how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

With a thrilling score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” Wicked has been hailed by The New York Times as “the defining musical of the decade.” Time Magazine cheers, “if every musical had the brain, the heart, and the courage of Wicked, Broadway really would be a magical place.”

Declared “The Best Musical of the Decade” by Entertainment Weekly and “A Cultural Phenomenon” by Variety, WICKED is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

This show is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes (1 intermission). Recommended for ages 8 years and up. Children under 5 years will not be permitted in the theatre.

This was a wonderful experience. Every part of this experience was superior. The set design, music, and acting were amazing. I knew I would enjoy this experience but I had no idea that I would find myself thinking about how wonderful my experience was so frequently!

It’s my first time watching Wicked and it’s fantastic. The vocals of Elphaba is amazing! Love the stage settings, the props and the performance - though it can get a bit slow in some parts, the overall performance is one of stunning. Worth every penny spent!

This was literally my most favourite thing we did during our NYC trip...it was amazing! The singing was a sensation, good story line - easy to follow for my husband who hasn’t even seen the wizard of oz 🤷🏼‍♀️😱 we had great seats with a great view of the stage....only draw back was the price of food and drink - small sprite was $7 still paid it for the wicked keep cup - totally worth it!! 😂

It was funny and entertaining. A little too much singing for my 2 teenage boys, but they enjoyed it! It took them most of the show before they realized that Kevin Chamberlain (Bertram from Jessie) was the wizard.
