"Amazing Show.."

We had great seats. The performance was great. The costumes, the set, and the music were all amazing. This show is great for all ages. The play is very similar to The Lion King cartoon with some adjustments to keep it current.
Tip: Arrive early to pick up your tickets.

"Amazing Performance"

This is highly recommended for all ages. The costumes in the show are so creative and each actors character seems to fit their personality. The Lion King cartoon and this play are very similar, but it's still a tear jerker when Mufasa dies... The theater check-in was really easy with Reserve Direct E-ticket. The ushers are very helpful with getting you to your seats. One person in our group left their phone after the show and the theater had it waiting for us to pick-up the next day.
Tip: Pick-up your tickets anytime the day of the show to save a few minutes when you arrive for the show.

"Best seat in the house!"

Booked not knowing exactly where we would be sitting. We were in the centre section of the front row!!! My mum was so excited the animals touched us several times. Had a fantastic night and will always remember having front row at a Broadway show.
Tip: Dress warm the theatre was a little draftee.

"Fun and well done show"

The Lion King is a very well done show. Nothing will beat the movie version for me, but this was enjoyable. The lady who played Rafiki was wonderful! I really liked Timon and Pumbaa as well. Nala had a really well done solo. We went to the afternoon show, and one problem with that is disruption by younger kids. My 2 kids were with me and they were annoyed as well by the seat kicking, noise and inability of others to sit still. Nevertheless, we had a great time. Worth seeing!

This is an iconic show that many will like. However, if your child cannot sit still or is easily scared, please wait until they are older. I was highly annoyed by the parents that brought such young, unprepared children. The child in our group at the age of 6 yrs old was easily able to sit still, not ask 100 questions during and enjoy the show. At first it appeared to me as it looked like a children's puppet show. I however realize I should never judge a show until after seeing the second act (every show I've been to I have a lot of criticism by intermission, but have been proven wrong every single time by the end of the second act...never leave a show early!). The show is a staple Broadway show that anyone interested in Broadway should see. Not only is it great in creative and costume design, but the set design is incredible as well! The most annoying part of this show was the patrons. Luckily the guy who kept checking and texting on his phone in our row stopped by the the second act because my husband called him out. The usher that told him to stop meant nothing to him. Then, there was a parent that thought it was okay to bring a child too immature to the show. That child we heard so much of through the first act... "what's going on?" "Is he a good guy?" "I'm tired!" "I want candy!!!" You'd think money would buy manners but it seems it doesn't. The most expensive seats include the most inconsiderate families and children. First, any child under 7 or 8, or that cannot handle being quiet or sitting still during a show, no one should spend the amount of money needed for a ticket for them to attend or disrupt other ticket buyers with your misbehaving and out of control children. Second, if you are a person that thinks it's okay to talk or check your phone or text during a performance, please do not come! Third, if you enjoy set design, and don't disrupt people, come! If you enjoy costume design, come! If you want to see a show that's been on Broadway for 20 years and still continues to sell out, come! The cast is incredible. The ensemble is even more talented. The songs are way better than the movie, as well as the story! Plus, champagne is available, as well as slushies that they'll add your choice of alcohol to! It has the best concessions of any theatre I've been to! But, still does not have enough bathrooms to accommodate patrons during intermission. It is the most modern theatre I've seen, and is a perfect location to take those loved ones visiting NYC to Times Square, a show, and to get Junior's cheesecake, all in one shot so you won't find yourself having to return to a NY resident's most dreaded area more than once during your out-of-town guest's visit. Enjoy the show!
