The Paul Hotel is a family owned business which strives to replicate their own family values throughout their organization. Hotel guests are indulged with a clear, direct, and focused attention to their needs. A Paul guest is greeted with utilitarian effort and an easy going atmosphere. The Paul Hotel is home to Paul the Nomad who is planting his roots at 32 West 29th street; in his home Paul guests are the priority.

Inspired by the mercantile history of the Flower District, the newly constructed 21-story, 50,000 square foot building was designed by Matt Markowitz Architects and Sharma Group Development. The hotel takes its cue from the history and character of the surrounding NoMad neighborhood with details inspired by the textures and energies of the city and its iconic skyline. The NoMad areas resurgence is due to the legacy of its fine architecture and the beautifully restored Madison Square Park.

From your first step into Paul's Drawing Room, you will be immersed in the distinctive, boutique character of THE PAUL. The design of its 122 residential-style guest rooms with expansive loft-style windows impart a light and airy atmosphere offering dramatic and unparalleled views of The Empire State Building to the North and The Freedom Tower to the South. All of PAUL's guestrooms are custom designed and softly integrate the urban landscape of the local neighborhood in unexpected and playful ways. The interior design team was led by Ronica Sharma of Sharma Group Development.

WOW. The hospitality of the WHOLE staff from the moment you walk in and are greeted with a smile by the front desk to the warm hellos of the housekeepers and the special attention that the breakfast attendants give each guest is truly remarkable. The GM is beyond helpful and really cares about her guest having the best vacation. It felt like I was staying with family with all the warmth of kindness from this hotel staff. Check in was smooth and we headed to our room. Two speedy elevators. We stayed on the 15th floor and heard lite construction noises but nothing to complain or ruin our trip. I mean its NYC and there is always construction. As we entered into our room the smell of fresh and clean just over came ourselves and the relaxation of our trip began. The décor was modern. Great tv channels, kind of a lot for a hotel. There was a mini fridge in the room. And the beds were very comfy. If I could have carried out the beds in my suitcase I would have. The bathroom stand up shower was amazing, hot and great pressure. The lotions and soap smelled luxurious and make you feel like you are at a spa. They have a bar opened in the evenings and a roof top bar which was closed in the winter months but I got to peek out at it and it looked like it would be a fun spot in the summer to enjoy a fruity cocktail. Breakfast which was included in my hotel package was tasty scrambled eggs, pancakes and a meat (ham was our choice that morning), breads and bagels with muffins, fresh fruit and juices, milk and cereal. The home fries I could have eaten all day long. You can also buy breakfast if its not included in the hotel and its a good deal. There is a market that sells healthy food just around the corner which I visited about ten times during my stay. We were close to the Empire State building which you can see from the courtyard front entrance before you walk into the hotel. Not far from Penn Station and many other attractions. This hotel goes above and beyond to make each guest feel at home. My biggest complaint was we couldn't stay longer. Two days for our birthday celebration and we couldn't have been happier.

The room was really nice and clean and wonderful service. Got a great rate. The staff was very helpful along the way. Great view of the Empire State Building. Read other reviews where noise from construction was an issue. We had none of that. I think the majority of that noise is probably done as the construction seems to be very far along.

We stayed at the Paul hotel for 2 nights, we had 2 adjoining rooms, my husband and myself with our 5 children, we had 4 double beds, it was better than I expected after reading some reviews I thought it was going to be tiny, it was fine the same size as most city hotel rooms. It was clean and had a great view. The hotel is well located and great value for money. In the bad reviews It says about a construction site opposite the hotel, well I figured it wouldn’t bother us as we were out early and in late, so it had no effect on us at all and New York is such a noisy place anyway with sirens, horns and traffic, it just blended in. The receptionist called Grace was very helpful and kind which was nice in a city where not many people were. My only small gripe was the restaurant and rooftop bar wasn’t open while we were there, I’m don’t know why as I didn’t ask, they were happy to hold our luggage for us on the last day which was good, if I come to New York again I would stay here.

The Paul is a fairly modern hotel in the Nomad neighbourhood / Korea Town. It's a great base to set out from, and is located a block or so away from two subway stations. It's close to the Flat Iron building, Bryant Park, and an easy walk west to Chelsea and The High Line. The rooms are typical of New York: compact. There was enough room to move around without tripping over bags. I was happy to see the bathroom products were cruelty-free and organic. The Paul chose Pharmacopia brand. Chasing a coffee? Head east on West 29th Street to Stumptown. If you're heading north on Sixth Ave, Gregory's is reliable.

I have special love for the Paul NYC. I have stayed here twice in two years and i would choose this place over and over again. The view from the front room of the Empire State is out of this world. Though the current construction wakes you up early but they changed my room to the back side which was peaceful. Comfortable rooms to a cosy lobby and sitting area to the amazingly warn staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff. One feels at home. Its central and accessible to all the places one needs to be at.
