from The Paul Hotel NYC
Check-In: 4:00pm Check-Out: 11:00am
The Paul Hotel is a family owned business which strives to replicate their own family values throughout their organization. Hotel guests are indulged with a clear, direct, and focused attention to their needs. A Paul guest is greeted with utilitarian effort and an easy going atmosphere. The Paul Hotel is home to Paul the Nomad who is planting his roots at 32 West 29th street; in his home Paul guests are the priority.

Inspired by the mercantile history of the Flower District, the newly constructed 21-story, 50,000 square foot building was designed by Matt Markowitz Architects and Sharma Group Development. The hotel takes its cue from the history and character of the surrounding NoMad neighborhood with details inspired by the textures and energies of the city and its iconic skyline. The NoMad areas resurgence is due to the legacy of its fine architecture and the beautifully restored Madison Square Park.

From your first step into Paul's Drawing Room, you will be immersed in the distinctive, boutique character of THE PAUL. The design of its 122 residential-style guest rooms with expansive loft-style windows impart a light and airy atmosphere offering dramatic and unparalleled views of The Empire State Building to the North and The Freedom Tower to the South. All of PAUL's guestrooms are custom designed and softly integrate the urban landscape of the local neighborhood in unexpected and playful ways. The interior design team was led by Ronica Sharma of Sharma Group Development.

The Paul is conveniently located north of Madison Square and south of the Empire State Building. Rooms are compact, yet comfortable, well cared for, and tastefully appointed. No interactions with staff to report but checking in and out, and those moments were satisfactory.

"Great location and immaculate, modern hotel"

We had a great time staying at The Paul over New Year and early January 2019. The hotel is very chic and modern and it is immaculate, and the rooms were clean and tidy. I’ve seen other reviews saying the rooms were small but I didn’t find that to be a problem, and the bathroom/shower was lovely. The staff are really friendly, on our last day we had a later flight and they allowed us to keep our luggage stored there for free and this enabled us more time to explore the city, and they arranged a luxury black car service to take us to JFK for $75 which was as much as a yellow cab would have been anyway. The location is great just off 5th and 6th Avenue and easy to walk to the main attractions (takes about 20mins) or there are two subway stations nearby alternatively, so it’s easy to get around. The only slight gripe I had was the noise from the construction happening outside our room which I had seen on other reviews prior to our stay, as the workers appeared to start working at 3am some days, however we soon got used to the sound and general hustle and bustle of the city. We had an empire queen room and our view of the Empire State Building was also half obstructed by the new building that was being worked on which was a shame but this did not spoil our stay as you can see the ESB anywhere you go in that area. Overall we had a good time, thank you The Paul for a pleasant stay for my first time in NYC :)

One of the smallest rooms that I’ve stayed in NYC but well equipped 2 double beds for 3 adults but not much room for luggage, but don’t let it put you off. Lovely bathroom large shower and spotlessly clean. Good location friendly staff. On leaving hotel to go to airport the hotel was charging $100 but if you flag one down on the street only costs $59 so more to spend in duty free ha ha
