Folks, I've stayed in a lot of hotels in NYC. The Marquis has the best rooms by far. Large, comfortalbe, and clean. The hotel accomodates 1900+ guests and is truly an impressive machine in action. There are lots of staff to deal with any questions or concerns you may have.

Check-in is somewhat of a thing, since this is a large hotel and 'rush hour' means a bit of a wait. This was compounded by the fact that we had to visit the front desk twice, just to get into our room. It seems that our front desk person not only transposed the room number on each of the two keys we got but then neither room number worked with either key. Rocky start but things happen. The room was pretty much a large chain city hotel. Nothing spectacular but nothing specifically wrong either. The service personnel were not great. Calling twice or three times for anything was the norm and then maybe it might happen. Our room was cold, called 3 times. We wanted additional towels, called twice. Had to call to get the room cleaned, but that was only 1 call so I suppose I should think that was ok. Location is not my choice but it was chosen due to proximity to business. And oh by the way, could your housekeeping staff maybe once in a while look at the pillows and blankets kept in the closet. Our blanket looked like it should have been retired a long time ago. Overall, I would stay here again but only if my doing business meant it was easier for me to stay here. On a personal or leisure trip, I would look else where.

This hotel is quite easy to get to from highway if driving. Lots of space to pull in and unpack car. Valet parking expensive but efficient. Really nice hotel. we were on a high floor but elevators were no problem. The lounge was great to sit at late at night and have a drink and watch Times Square. We did not go to the revolving restaurant. Concierge was great to hold our luggage while we toured around after we checked out. I would recommend if you want to be in the heart of Times Square.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 2-night stay at the Marriott Marquis. Located just outside Times Square, the hotel is within easy walking distance of theaters, shops, restaurant, the Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Station (15 minute walk). Using the mobile app we were able to check in early and check out late. Our gold status gave us access to the concierge lounge which served complimentary breakfast and evening hors d’ouevres that could constitute dinner. The fitness center is large and well equipped. Our room was large enough to fit a king bed and sofa to watch TV. The room was attractive and comfortable. We ate a delicious buffet lunch at the restaurant off the lobby. This hotel had everything - helpful staff, good food, internet, newspapers, shops and that fabulous, theater district location

I've stayed at this property several times over the past 5 years, most recently in May 2018. Its location in the heart of Times Square is perfect for tourism--or if you happen to be working in midtown. Being near Times Square, there are plenty of nearby dining options. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for the heart of NYC. I've been upgraded to a corner room three times and the rooms are nearly big enough to stage a football game. Higher floors will have less noise from the street below. West-side rooms (facing away from the square) will be quieter and have fewer flashing lights from below. The gym on the 28th floor is well-featured, with plenty of cardio and strength options. The concierge lounge on the 30th floor is large, offers the regular Marriott breakfast and evening canapes, and is crowded in the morning.
