We booked the presidential suite and it was huge, even by NYC standards. There was one large bedroom with a south-facing view, two full baths, a bar with fridge (alas, no mini bar) and a parlor room with a large dining room table and seating group for TV. All the furniture was very comfortable. The linens were first-rate and the bed was comfortable. This is a big convention hotel and what it may lack in personalized service is more than made up for with the conveninece of efficiency of serving a large number of patrons with professionalism and graciousness. I was particularly impressed with the housekeeping service. Right before 0900 housekeeping carts were stationed in the hall ready to clean rooms. We were asked promptly at 0900 if the room could be cleaned. Also, because this hotel has a large number of patrons, you'll never have to search for a cab. Being right on 6th Ave, cabs are always zooming by and they know if they stop at the Hilton they will get a fare very promptly. We have paid the same price at more luxurious hotels for a suite but the very large size of the room coupled with the efficiency of the property will keep us coming back the to the Mid Town Hilton.

I reviewed the Hilton last winter and spike about the tired decor. I'm back this week, and I'm staying in one of the refurbished rooms. It's looking great. I always love Hilton Midtown for its friendly staff and of course it's location, location, location....😁 but the tasteful upgrade to the decor rounds out the package nicely. Many thanks to Kellie and all the staff for their help.

"Expensive hotel but decent sized rooms"

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in May. I had done my research and was looking for a decent sized hotel room. This fit the bill. Our room was on the 12th floor, quiet, had a big bed and a decent shower. The rest of the hotel amenities are incredibly expensive. A bottle of water is over $5. You have to pay $4 per piece of luggage to have it stored if you have a late flight. All communal areas are so noisy. The breakfast is good but the waiters don't have any understanding of serving and clearing dishes quietly. They make a huge racket and don't respect guests trying to enjoy the food on offer. Sanjay on reception was very welcoming when we checked in, and he should be commended for excellent customer service. He was the friendliest member of staff we encountered. Overall an average experience.

"Great location, wonderful room"

Great location, away from the noise of Time Square, but within easy walking distance to everything. A few blocks from Central Park, a little further to Rockefeller Center & Empire State Building. Extremely comfortable beds, large rooms, especially for NYC, and awesome shower! Staff was wonderful - pleasant and helpful. Would have been nice to have coffee makers in the rooms, as its a hassle to have to go downstairs to the restaurant (especially in your pj's lol). "Continental breakfast" for HH members is just that, minimal food and have to pay extra for anything substantial. Overall loved the stay!!

"Great Stay at the New York Hilton Midtown"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

My family recently stayed at the New York Hilton Midtown over Mother's Day weekend. We typically stay at the Conrad in Battery Park City, but decided to stay at the Hilton Midtown this trip because of the location and proximity to some planned events. Despite it being an extremely busy hotel, I was pleasantly surprised at how attentive the staff were to all the guests. One front desk representative (Virdell) was extremely nice and helpful during the check-in process. The rooms on the Premier levels are very well maintained, as well. One minor drawback was the lack of coffee maker in the room. Obviously, one can always just step outside the hotel for a number of coffee options. But, it's always nice to be able to have a cup of coffee while getting ready in the morning. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others who are looking for a nice hotel in the Midtown area.
