The hotel is in a great location--can easily walk to Central Park and many of the sites including Broadway shows. But, there are things to be aware of: First, there is no coffee in the rooms. Apparently there is a union workforce in the food area that has no room coffee as part of their contract. Really?! Second, as a Hilton Honors member, when I was checking in, I was told that because I was checking in early, there would be a $45 extra charge. When I said no, the charge was waived. Finally, there is a $25 urban destination fee that gets you free wifi (which I should have as a Hilton Honors member), $10/day credit in the take away food place (union workers) and $15 bar credit. As I was there on business, I did not use the bar. Pretty disappointed as my usual Hilton stays are much better than this,

Came here for a conference. the location of this hotel is great, clean and comfortable For personal time, its so close to MoMA, Broadway, Time Square, restaurants, easy to get a cab or Uber or take the subway. The walls were a little thin but didnt really affect me that much. Just could hear the folks in the morning hours getting ready for their day.

Pros: Great location near major NYC attractions. Safe area with good restaurants nearby. Nice rooms and good meeting space. Cons: Poor lighting in the rooms. Temperature controls need to be better (took 2 days to get room reasonably cool and could've been cooler). Stinky hallways from trash chute.

"Short on Service and Comfort"

This hotel has a good location, but that is about it. Rooms are on the small side. The restaurants in the hotel are very inadequate for the size and purported quality of the property. There are no coffee pots in the rooms and the lines for purchasing coffee in the morning at the walk-up counter were usually 20-30 people long. Quite miserable. Restaurant only has a nice quality, but overpriced buffet as an option for breakfast in the morning. And lunch/dinner options minimal. No security on elevators during the day so no control on who has access to guest floors. Tried to have a business meeting in the so-called Executive Lounge, but overhead music made it difficult to work. The attendant was unwilling to turn the music down until 3 different guests joined forces to make the request. Not a great asset to the usually quite positive Hilton brand.

Great spot to tour central NYC - Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Opera, Julliard, and Central park all in walking distance. Bar scene vibrant and lounge bar great for lunch. Look forward to going back.
