Our experience at this hotel was ok. We chose this hotel for it's location, we typically stay mid town. The clerk that helped us at check in was not friendly at all, she never smiled, welcomed us to the hotel or acknowledged that we are Hilton Honor members and did not offer any water (as other Hiltons do). While the rooms were clean, they were a bit smaller then other Hiltons we stayed at.

"Great views, slept very well"

This is a relatively new hotel right across from the Oculus - the new train station near ground zero and the dual waterfall commemorating the 9/11 victims. The lobby is modest, although it does have a bar and some seats. I'd go around the corner to Nobu for a drink, rather than the lobby bar. There are two sets of elevators, one for the top floors. We were on the 44th floor and paid extra to get a corner room with great views, both daytime and nighttime. The beds were comfortable and the room stayed dark and quiet in the morning, allowing us to sleep late. The room rate was reasonable for NYC.

"Great location"

The rooms were quiet and comfortable, all requests were promptly handled. It's a large hotel with many groups staying, so the small lobby can be pretty busy and full of luggage. It was odd that the handicapped accessible room had a tub, albeit with grab bars. Starbucks is right around the corner and the location, across from the Occulus and near the WTC can't be beat.

"Nice location but rooms need to be refurbished"

This hotel is part of the Hilton chain and a block from the World Trade Center and the 9/11 museum and Close to several subway stops. So a great location but a bit pricey and rooms need to be refurbished. The beds and linens were good. But the WiFi was slow and did not work in the bedroom just in the living room. The water pressure and flow was low in the shower.

I have stayed in several hotels in New York but I really enjoyed the location of this hotel. It is right across the street from ground zero and within walking distance to iconic landmarks such as Battery Park, the 'Bull', china town and the Brooklyn Bridge. The staff is very friendly, the rooms were very clean and of adequate size. The only complaint I have is that we had a room with two 'double' beds. I didn't have a tape measure, but they are probably only an inch wider than a single. If you are by yourself, this is not a problem but if you have to share this 'double' with a 6'4" husband and you happen to take up a large amount of real estate on your own, this becomes a horrible device of torture. Unless forced to make a different decision, get a room with a king bed for a good nights sleep.
