"Christmas pre Cruise 2018"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Red eye from Whittier, CA. arrived early to JFK took subway $7.75 ea. to get to hotel; very easy to navigate NYC subway, Hotel checked us in but room not ready till "4 pm". Bell staff were personable and on top form. Front desk staff a little curt but overall okay. Room on 50th floor was truly amazing views of Brooklyn bridge, 911 water memorial and freedom tower was just across the street next to the oculus mall, nice sitting area and down a short hall was the bedroom with a fair sized king bed; comfy after longs cold days of walking in NYC in the Christmas time. I just liked the key location of this hotel and the views from the room of NYC. Time square hotels were just a mad house of people and hustle. I give this hotel 8 out of 10. accommodating, warm and clean.

"Great for Business Trip"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed January 18, 2019 NEW
I stayed here for about 5 days for a work trip. I chose it based on it's location, but also the reviews. The hotel is steps from the Oculus, and a stone's throw from One World Trade and other attractions. Upon arrival the hotel staff who checked me in was super friendly and accommodating. This hotel has a beautiful exterior and lobby space, but the skeleton of the building is old. It looks like it was recently upgraded, but things like the AC/heat vents in the room need to be upgraded as they were unnaturally loud when on. The pillows were way too soft so sleeping was a bit of a challenge. There is only free WiFi if you are a Hilton Honors member, which I feel is unfair since most hotels you aren't forced to sign up for their membership in order to use their WiFi. The kitchen was closed due to issues when I stayed there so cannot rate the food. All in all this was a great location for a very good hotel. I would stay again and recommend to others!

"Needs re-furbashing"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

I have stayed at this hotel several times b4 as its close to my offices,so is very good for me. the rooms are very dated but if you get the room for a good price then it ok,BUT if you pay top price u will be disapointed My problem on this visit was not with the dated decor,as i new what i was getting,BUT with the corner suete i had booked, mainly the state of the arm chair and the sofa which was so dirty i couldent use them ground in dirt on the arm chair. as i checked in late and left midday the next day i dident complain till check out,but was given a $50 dollar discount which was ok, but it i was there on holiday i would not be happy. The staff are nice though but they will tell u the hotel is having a re-furb but thats been happening for at least a couple of years so make your own mind up. The poor rating is only on the state of the furnatur NOT the over all clenliness of the room which was ok

"Can't beat location for exploring WTC area and subway transportation options"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed January 15, 2019 NEW
Started off 2019 staying at the Millenium Hilton. Normally, I don't stay downtown as I prefer the midtown area for convenience. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how convenient it was to come and go at this hotel. The hotel is close to numerous subway lines. I used the E (1 block away) and Red/1 (also 1 block away). For both check-in and check-out, the staff were very friendly and efficient. I thought that the rooms were comfortable but nothing special; standard Hilton rooms. Although rainy and cloudy during my stay, the view of the World Trade Center (WTC) and Brooklyn bridge from the hotel were pretty darn good. Quite a few close dining options. For me, I was in an Italian mood and ate at Ecco one night and Eataly the next. Both were easily walkable from the hotel.

"Great location, not matching service"

It could be much better, left to decay, indifferent staff. A good starting point to explore Lower Manhattan, but it is not well kept and the furniture and infrastracture are below standards. Needs refurbishment and better management
