"Perfect room for two"
May, 2015
We showed up early before our room was ready so they held our bags for us while we explored New York and then called me when our room was ready. They actually got our room ready 2 hours before our check in time but let us check in early which was so nice! The room was perfect for two people and the New York traffic was barley existent while we were in our room which was very wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the bathtub was deep and big enough for a romantic bubble bath with a glass of wine and chocolate covered strawberries from the shop down the street. It was such a wonderful stay and we are looking to stay there again on our next visit.
Tip: take a cork screw for wine

"Great Location but Lacks Ammenities"

This property is in a great location but lacking in amenities. The rooms are small the furnishings can use an update and the bed linens need to be cleaned and refreshed. (the comforter was dirty) There needs to be more attention on the cleaning aspect the desk and the TV remote were sticky. The room only had one window and it had a window air conditioner in it that was really noisy. My room faced the burger joint across the street and I constantly smelled grease. The Wi-Fi signal was low or non existent.

"Excellent location, but very dated"

The location is outstanding, and considering that, the price is very reasonable. The rooms and lobby and hallways are very dated. Rooms are small but not tiny like in so many NYC hotels. Comfortable bed. My bathroom was kinda skuzzy and my friend said his room was "hairy." Not pleasant. Lots of street noise. Inexpensive and pleasant breakfast. Staff friendly. For the price.... Pretty good, and an amazing location.

A friend set us up here for the night, we were visiting him in Connecticut. Came in for the day & stayed one night. There are 27 rooms, dated & small but clean & very convenient location. Front desk was blah, with the extra cot & 3 men, it was like living with your brothers all over again. Parking was convenient & discounted, breakfast adequate. I'd say that I'd stay there again, but I stay someplace different every time I go to NYC.

Went to NYC for a long weekend and wanted to be near Rockefeller Center. The 3 West Club is located right across the street from it and the price was good. The location is convenient and the metro station is close and cabs are always going by. The bathroom needs a major redo. The tub/shower had a cracked/smashed soap dish and the tub near the drain was black like the paint had worn off and was moldy. If you are taking a shower and a nearby room uses their bathroom, the water temperature turns scalding. The air conditioner is in the window and there is thin plastic on either side of it which lets in all of the noise and the gaps allowed in the cold night air to enter. No way to stop the cold air from entering. There is no apparent controls to turn on the heat so bring warm pajamas. For a good 12-hour period, only one electrical outlet in the room worked (bathroom outlet was operational), so nightstand lights would not turn on. The 3 West Club was fine. It served its purpose but I will stay somewhere else next time. I've been spoiled by the chain hotels, I guess.

We come here every year and enjoy this wonderful historic hotel. Our main reason for staying here is the proximity to the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. My mom is 82 and has trouble walking long distances and this hotel is perfect. Great spot with even greater service.
