Our guides on both the Harlem Tour and the Underground Railroad were very good guides. They knew their tour inside and out. The meeting point was precise and the duration of the tours matched the booking. Very well organized.

Our guide was very knowledgeable of the historic locations in New York and the history surrounding Slavery. He was able to answer questions that was asked be it an adult or a child. I learned a lot and would highly recommend the tour if you are in New York.

"Elizabeth's Chelsea/Meat-Packing/Highline Tour"

Elizabeth's enthusiastic approach made this fascinating but info-laden tour a non-stop delight! Along with the fun facts, history and architectural insight she also gave us great advice on enjoying surrounding attractions - time spent later in the day at the Grant Wood exhibit at the Whitney may have been the high-light of our NYC visit. And we came back next day to shops she'd pointed out in Chelsea Market. Thank you, Elizabeth!

"Slavery and underground tour didn’t go the distance"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed May 16, 2018 NEW
Interesting walking tour through the downtown area, learning more about slavery and the Underground Railroad in New York. However, although advertised as 2.5 hours, it ended after only 1.5 hours which was very disappointing as the information was interesting. It was bad weather but the group was engaged with the stops and narrative so I would expect the tour to go the advertised time. Also be aware, like many walking tours, you finish in a different location to where you start – vital information for tourists planning to meet up with friends or family.
