Description

from NYC In A Day: Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, West Village, High Line & Wall Street
Tour Highlights

We travel by boat and foot to give you all the coverage of a bus tour with none of the fly-by feeling. With an expert local guide throughout the day, you'll get real insight into the Big Apple, exploring hidden hangouts and local color as well as those big-ticket icons.
Start with a walking tour of the 9/11 Memorial & Wall St; embark on an New York harbor cruise, passing the Statue of Liberty; disembark for an iconic Midtown Manhattan walking tour; and end your tour with an evening on the Empire State Building.
With a maximum of just 20 people, your New York tour will be so much more intimate than larger group and bus tour alternatives, giving you more opportunity to interact with our fun local tour guides. Meanwhile inclusive pricing covers everything except lunch (where we wanted the choice to be yours).

REFLECT ON WALL STREET AND THE 9/11 MEMORIAL

Your day starts in Lower Manhattan, where you'll visit Wall Street, see the New York Stock Exchange and learn about the financial heart of the city. You'll also visit the more tranquil sights of the 9/11 Memorial, gazing into the twin reflecting pools and admiring the soaring beauty of Freedom Tower.

Traveling with a local guide means you'll get insight throughout the day, although a local's point of view is rarely more poignant than it is here.

SEE THE CITY FROM A DISTANCE ON A NEW YORK BOAT TOUR

After exploring the financial district, you'll stroll to a nearby jetty to start your New York boat tour. Operated by New York Water Taxi (but with your own guide on hand), you'll enjoy a full harbor cruise, sailing under the Brooklyn Bridge and getting up close to the Statue of Liberty (so much bigger up close than you would expect).

Your boat will do a full 360 degree turn at the Statue so everyone has time to get that iconic Lady Liberty shot, as your guide fills you in on details of the struggle to erect her. Would you believe she spent years languishing in a crate over in the port? Or that she has the same parentage as the Eiffel Tower?

GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH THE ICONS OF NYC ON A GUIDED MIDTOWN TOUR

After your NY harbor cruise, you’ll take a quick shuttle north to Midtown and to City Kitchen, where you’ll have lunch options ranging from Japanese to tacos. After your break it’s time to hit the streets.

With the help of your guide you’ll explore the most iconic sights of New York: Times Square, The Rockefeller Center, St Patrick’s Cathedral, The Diamond District, Grand Central Terminal and Radio City Music Hall. Strolling with a local, you’ll get so much more from your experience, discovering secret areas like the Whispering Arch at Grand Central and learning about the fascinating history of NYC (the ultimate rags-to-riches tale).

SKIP THE LINE AT THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING OBSERVATORY

Your Midtown walking tour ends at the Empire State Building. We've pre-reserved tickets here so you'll get past most of the lines, gaining access to the last great icon on your New York tour. Your guide will wave you off here, leaving you to explore the building on your own. Be sure to visit the 86th floor observatory (access included in your ticket) for the best views over NYC.

During the day you'll have seen all of New York's most important icons, but for those other sights you didn't see, now is your chance! The Empire State Building Observatory offers a 360 degree view over the Big Apple.

And there you have it: All of New York in a single day (without the tourist bus!)

We did the Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Tour with add on 9/11 Tour and museum. Our guide was Amanda and she was the best!! I learned so much on this day. Amanda was very informative and knew her history. And she was a great photographer! On the 9-11 Tour her info was very moving and you could tell that even though the area was a place she went often and told many stories about...it still moved her emotionally. I would highly recommend this tour. It was the best part of our trip to NYC.

"Dark Side of NYC - Authentic and Fascinating"

What makes the ’Stories from the Dark Side' tour spectacular is getting a glimpse into stories that could only be told by someone with real life experience in NYC. We highly recommend the Crimes of New York tour with Dennis. We have taken many walking tours and were not sure what to expect given the topic. However, Dennis is definitely loaded with knowledge and experience on the subject given his career in the NYPD and family history. We found that Dennis was able to talk not only about the crimes and gangs of new york but able to provide a different view into Wall Street and many other historical aspects of New York City. We enjoyed our time with a small group and felt comfortable with Dennis walking at a gentle pace and providing the optimum amount of information. Bottom line - you won’t regret this authentic and fascinating tour.
