"Not as good as expected"

We thought that it would be better than the one in london but there was not as much statue.... there was Johhny Depp, Jennifer Aniston and others but there was not as much stars as the one in london. Brad Pitt wasn't there like George Clooney... the room was pretty empty. I like the hand wax (even if the room cleaner thought that it was a trash and took it haha)

A must see when visiting New York. Kids loved it particularly the Marvel 4D experience. The waxworks were nicely spaced apart so good for photos.

"There's Nothing Like the Red Carpet"

When you enter, you feel like you are entering the Oscar's - walking on the red carpet. I was disappointed as those of us with a New York City Pass had to wait longer than those purchasing their tickets on site. They only had one person processing ours even though there were more of us in line. They need to fix this. It was actually the first place we used our pass in that we had to wait. The figures in this MADAME TUSSAUDS were not as lifelike as those in DC's MADAME TUSSAUDS. Their skin was pretty translucent & about 50% of the figures just didn't look like their real-life person. Even the ones that were younger versions just needed improvements. I think lighting had a lot to do with the skin look - it was pretty bright, unlike the lighting in DC's museum which was dimmer. They really need to revisit the entire setup here. Also, you had to pay extra to do the laser tag (Ghost Buster experience) which was fine, but $20 per person seemed pretty steep - especially for kids age 10 - 13. Snack bar was outrageously priced too. Two waters cost over $8 & it was hot in there.

Went with several co-workers to only check out the Ghost Busters MR Experience and ended up also experiencing the Spiderman 4D and the rest of the Museum. We all walked away with a positive outlook of our time there. The newer wax figures are so realistic that it freaks you out a bit. If you pay for your tickets online you get a discount as well as not having to wait in any lines. Send the confirmation to your phone and just show them at the door. Would recommend!

Have visited years before , but recently rehab and had an awesome time with a group of teenagers.. museum exchanges the wax statues every 3 months to keep current .. a bit pricey $35 each but very enjoyable, better to visit at night to miss the crowds and take your time!
