"Dissapointing"

I took my 16-year-old god daughter, who is visiting New York from Finland  (her first trip abroad ever) to Madame Toussauds today, so that she could see "celebrities" and take pictures with them. What a disappointment it was! When we got to the top floor, it was missing half the figurines! They were cleaning the floor of water and did not let us take pictures with any of the wax figures, such as Johnny Depp or Jennifer Aniston! No Brad Pitt anywhere to be seen, no George Clooney, No Leonardo DiCaprio! I have been to this attraction several times and the figures have remained the same. Another section was also closed off for a "private event". I realize why my god daughter was so dissapointed... there were no celebrities to be seen!!! The section with all the musicians, the rockettes, the Rock, Spcie Girls was missing Also! The 4D theater was closed and we had a ticket, which was supposed to include this event! She was utterly disappointed at not seeing all the celebrities I promised her.. then the pop music section in the end with 4 was figures!?!?!? Ridiculous! Where was Taylor Swift, Bieber!?!? I have enjoyed going to Madame Tuddads everyone I have friends visiting from overseas and was so excited to show this experience to my god daughter, only to dissapoint her. Won't be going here again...

There were no queues for this attraction and was a pleasant walk free m the top down, I expected more wax figures and the King Kong seemed to be going under improvement which was really disappointing. We paid extra to do the marvel section which was worth the small amount to upgrade. We made our own wax hands too which was worth the wait for.although was a good few hours walk I was a bit underwhelmed by this

Most of these wax figures are really good, but others not so much. However, we liked going through this wax museum and got some great selfies with the movie stars. The Presidents section is particularly good and would be a wonderful visual teaching experience for children.

Fun place to visit. I took my mother and sister. Most of actors, actresses, singers were familiar to us. You may have to wait few minutes to take a picture with popular icon, such as former president, Marilyn Monroe, Kim Kardashian, etc... I am not sure it's good to take small children. They may get bored because there was no cartoon character. Takes about one hour and half to two hours to see the entire building of wax figure. It's close to Times square. If you want to kill couple of hours, I recommend.
