"Nice to be back at CI, but the wrist-band vouchers from Reserve NYC had some unlisted limitations."
June, 2017
The Reserve New York City wristband does not include the Cyclone or about 4 or 5 of the highest thrill rides. These rides require separate tickets. This limitation was not listed in the description, we only found this out at Luna Park, when we handed in our vouchers; resulting in $30 of additional charges (just for the Cyclone). In addition there was a 90 minute delay in receiving our vouchers once we paid online, they were not "immediately available". This was a last minute purchase, and we had 15 minutes before leaving..luckily a helpful customer service agent was able to email me the vouchers more quickly.

Reserve NYC, my suggestion is to clearly state what the wristbands do and do not cover, "...up to 24 rides" really doesn't cut it...and.. to alert the purchaser (before buying) of any delay they may encounter before receiving the online vouchers.

""Do you think we live at Luna Park?""

That was what parents in Brooklyn would say if a child left the lights on at home. Luna Park is an amusement park located at Coney Island, that is lit! Literally lit. The rides are fun and numerous, the amusement park-style eats are, well, not healthy, that's for sure. But the place is brilliant at night. No, we don't live in Luna Park, mom, so we'll turn unneeded light off to save energy, but let's all go to Luna Park and enjoy the glow of this classic American amusement park like our grandparents did.

"Early Season Ball"

We got there early in April and its not open during the week, only later on in the season (Keep THAT in mind when you purchase a NY Pass as you may not get to use it for this attraction) Just on the latter, the Pass gets you in but the Cyclone will hit you $10 per ride. I tried to get the online discount with Luna but the website gave me issues, which apparently happen rather often. When I got there I had to pay the full price, even so, the Cyclone was included and just on that we got our money "back"! Management was great at the gate. We had no queues at all. Must do is the Slingshot and the Thunderbolt. They are both totally insane. We did the obligatory Nathans's fast foods et all. Just a final note: the ablution blocks are absolutely atrocious. Go prepared to ensure you can use the facilities with some sort of confidence. They really should do something about this and it was definitely not fit for the kids. I would have scored them above a 4 if it were, it was so bad. Still, a must do. The esplanade was nice and busy on the Saturday afternoon.

"Amazing park"

If you don’t have enough time to explore NYC this is a place that you can skip. If you have enough time it is OK to see Coney Island and go to the Luna Park. The metro station is close by from which you can walk by the ocean to the park. It is interesting and the rides are exciting. Rollercoasters are really good, and the wooden one is a ride for itself, be sure to go for a ride on it. You can’t use action camera (at least we couldn’t when we tried to wear it on a hand mount in May 2017).

"Luna Park is kind of a throwback"

when you visit Luna Park, you see will many modern and thrilling rides. This is an expensive place, but the thrills and spills make you quickly forget that. The old coney island is still there, somewhat. scary signs, cheap thrills and food that is very overpriced. the famous NATHANS stands apart,as do the prices, but the quality and taste still lead the pack. the place can be very crowded. Many police are there on weekends. Many poor immigrants get there on the public railways, and bring food. they eat on the curbside, and you can watch them. they bring many children and have very little money to spend. But they walk around around and do their best to havr some fun. The beach and the Ocean are free,so many people go to both. Immigrants are drawn to this place,as a kind of "universal" playground. But the cost of Luna Park can be staggering.
