I always enjoy walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to take in the surrounding views. Best to go a couple of hours before sunset, do some sightseeing in Brooklyn, have dinner and walk back as the sun goes down and the city lights become brighter. What amazing view of the city. A must do when visiting New York.

Everyone who visits Brooklyn should walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It is an amazing sight in a city full of notable sights. I have walked it several times over the years and have seen them add and change things to the bridge. The wooden beams that run across and over the bridge with the metal beams are just beautiful. when you walk across and can see the cars moving beneath you its initially scary but awesome at the same time! The bridge is awe inspiring. Even though they no longer allow padlocks on the sides of the bridge the experience is incredibly amazing. When on the bridge you can see the Freedom Tower, the Manhattan Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, The ferries, Staten Island, Uptown, Wall street, the South Street Seaport, Just a beautiful and meaningful experience. Walk the Bridge you will never forget it.

Each time I have visitors to NYC I take them across the Brooklyn Bridge. On a couple of occasions we have walked the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. The views are spectacular. Be prepared for the Manhattan Bridge to be noisy because of the trains. But you get to walk through Dumbo between the two bridges.

"Bike ride across Brooklyn & Manhattan Bridges!"

We purchased a Groupon, 4 bikes for 2 hours, helmets included. Worth it!! We were greeted with smiles by Amged who helped us at the register and another associate who fitted us for bikes. There is an optional $2 insurance charge. We purchased it just in case. Nothing happened during our ride, but for 2 bucks it's worth the peace of mind. They made sure the bikes were properly adjusted for each of our very different heights. We had purses and jackets, so they attached a basket on our bikes without being asked. We had enough time to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, ride around Brooklyn then ride back over the Manhattan Bridge. There were ALOT of people on the BB. We frequently used our bike chimes to urge people to move off of the bike path. The MB was free and clear, maybe not as pretty, but definitely a better ride. We made it back and Amged helped us check out. He was professional and friendly as he asked questions to make sure we had a good time. Overall we had a great experience renting from Brooklyn Bridge Sightseeing and would do it again!
